Zone Pedal ("we," "our," "us") operates the Zone Pedal mobile application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Data you provide

• Account profile information (name, if provided)
• Training preferences and heart rate zones

Data collected during workouts

• Heart rate measurements
• Power output (watts)
• Cadence (RPM)
• Workout duration and session data
• Training plan progress

Data we do NOT collect

• Location or GPS data
• Contacts or address book
• Photos, camera, or microphone data
• Browsing history
• Device identifiers for advertising

How We Use Your Information

We use your workout data solely to:

• Control your smart trainer during sessions
• Generate and adapt personalized training plans
• Track your training progress over time
• Improve workout recommendations based on your history

Sign in with Apple

Zone Pedal uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. We receive only a unique, anonymized user identifier from Apple. We do not receive your email address, name, or other personal information unless you choose to share it.

Data Storage

Your workout data is stored in two places:

• On your device — Session data is stored locally for offline access and real-time trainer control.
• On our servers — Training plans and session summaries are synced to our backend to enable plan generation and long-term progress tracking.

Data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. We do not use advertising networks or analytics tracking services. Your training data stays between you and Zone Pedal.

Data Retention

We retain your account and training data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the app. Upon deletion:

• All training data, session history, and plans are permanently removed from our servers
• Local data on your device can be removed by deleting the app
• Deletion is processed within 48 hours

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your training data

Children's Privacy

Zone Pedal is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the effective date above.
